Max Payne Games

Max Payne is a landmark game. It is probably the first game to include bullet time for the first time. In this game, you play as Max Payne, a cop with wife and kid who get whacked and he is off to take his revenge. Her wife’s death is part of a conspiracy involving drugs, a big corporation and city cor
ruption. You get to see some of the awesome parts of New York, its sewers, part of the subway and at least one brothel. To be fair, you also get to trash a posh mansion too. While the story is interesting and much heavier compared to its contemporaries, but the gameplay is what really sets the game apart.

The most significant feature of Max Payne is Bullet-Time, an effect that allows you to switch into slow-motion mode at will. Bullet-Time by itself is not too useful, since it runs out too quickly; the real key is Shoot-dodging, which you activate with the Right Click Button while moving with your strafe keys. It's similar to the bullet-dodging moves seen in the movie Matrix.

The effect of seeing slow motion explosions, bullets, plasters and dust flying all around Max while playing is simply awesome experience. Perhaps the best thing about Max’s gameplay is that he is just an ordinary guy, much like the various gangsters and desperados. The weapons you will get to use will be exactly the weapons your enemies will be carrying, and all of the enemies take about as much damage as you do before going down. The Latest version Max Payne III is releasing in the Year 2009, this game seems to be getting better with age.
